Proposed IndyCar designs unveiled

    INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A new design for a proposed new IndyCar was revealed Wednesday at the Chicago Auto Show.

    Four companies are competing to build the next IndyCar for 2012. One key for a company to score the IndyCar contract is that the racing league wants the car built in Indiana.

    Delta Wing, Swift Engineering and Dellarra (the current manufacturer of the IndyCar) have unveiled their designs. Later this week, Lola will show off its proposal.
