INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Most of the IndyCar drivers are expected to attend a Monday meeting to discuss safety concerns with series officials.
Drivers say the meeting is set for Indianapolis and that IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard will attend.
The meeting comes a little more than one week after two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon was killed during the season-ending race at Las Vegas. Funeral services for Wheldon were held Saturday in his adopted hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida.
The city of Indianapolis held a public memorial service Sunday.
Some drivers attending the service say that each will have time to express his or her concerns and that many have similar concerns based on e-mails that have been making the rounds this week.
