Hogsett addresses voter fraud

VIGO CO., Ind. (WTHI) - One of the biggest fears with elections is voter fraud.

Officials are already taking steps to prevent that this year.

U.S. District Attorney Joseph Hogsett held a press conference Monday detailing how his office will uphold the integrity of voting.

This is inline with a nationwide initiative put on by the U.S. Department of Justice.

"We see it as an election day effort focusing on two parts, protecting the rights of the voter, protecting the security and the integrity of the count, and of the ballot itself," said Hogsett.

The program provides several points of contact across Indiana where people can report voter fraud or discrimination.
