TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The Vigo County Health Department wrapped up its school clinics and has now moved onto other target groups.
The department kicked off a series of clinics Thursday morning. The clinic was only for those from ages 6 months to 18 years of age. The H1N1 clinic started at 10 a.m. and ended at 6 p.m.
Both the H1N1 nasal mist and the H1N1 shot were available free of charge. The mist was given to those age 3 to 18 unless they had a doctor's note prescribing otherwise.
"Today's clinic and, hopefully, tomorrows and Saturday's clinics, it will really allow those parents of the smaller children that are not enrolled in the Vigo County schools to come out and get their child vaccinated against the H1N1," Megan Bland with the Vigo County Health Department said.
The health department does have enough of the vaccine for another clinic Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., based on availability.
