WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTHI) - Potholes are just part of the problems a southern Indiana city is finding along one of it's main roads.
Business 50 is the main east west route through Washington, Ind. and motorists are complaining that the potholes are making the ride across town a rough one.
State highway crews have filled many of the larger holes with a cold patch and plan to return later and fix them with asphalt.
The city of Washington though said the road's problems are bigger than patching can fix.
"That is the entrance to the city of Washington, Ind. and we're proud to be the great city we are, but when you travel on Business 50 it doesn't give you the picture we want to present," Washington Mayor Larry Haag said.
The city said the road has major problems and they want to sit down and talk with the Indiana Department of Transportation about a more permanent solution.
