The "real" Gary Shots gives thanks

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Our News 10 crew has been covering all the action of Super Bowl 44 in Miami, and they have a special guest along with them.

Flat Gary has been joining them on some of their assignments, meeting some Colts players and some cheerleaders.

The "real" Gary is currently serving our country overseas.

On Friday he sent an email to the WTHI newsroom.

He said he is excited his stand-in is attending the Super Bowl.

In the email Gary said, "My fellow soldiers and I wait daily and discuss the latest updates that Mike and Caleb post."

Gary also said, "I hope that Flat Gary has been an enjoyment to all of you as much as it is for my family and me."
