TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Terre Haute residents are frustrated that their trash has not been collected for a number of days. Some have been saying it’s been at least two weeks, and it still has not been removed.

Republic Trash is responsible for removal and there are a few areas on the eastside that still need to be picked up.

News 10 called Republic Sunday afternoon, but no one was available to answer our call.

Mayor Duke Bennett said workers have been out all week trying to make up for lost time; however, icy conditions and safety concerns have slowed the process.

Mayor Bennett said that Republic plans to get the rest of the areas on Monday.
