Many people have updated their Facebook and Twitter status messages in unusual places. But the one that might take the cake took place at the wedding of Dana Hanna and his bride, Tracy.
In a video that's fast gaining popularity on YouTube , the couple is standing at the altar on Nov. 21 as the minister pronounces them husband and wife. But instead of kissing Tracy, Dana of Abingdon, Md., reaches in his pocket, takes out his cell phone and begins updating his status on Facebook and Twitter . Tracy then asks Dana for her cell phone, which is in Dana's pocket, and she updates her status as well.
The wedding guests can be heard laughing.
"Standing at the altar with @TracyPage where just a second ago, she became my wife! Gotta go, time to kiss my bride," Dana wrote on his Twitter page .
On YouTube , Dana said that only the minister knew what he had up his sleeve. He said it was completely a joke. "We really don't Facebook THAT often. I have a lot of family scattered around the country and we all use Facebook a lot to keep in touch."
According to Tracy's Twitter page , the couple has been getting plenty of attention. "I just got a call from Inside Edition!!! What am I doing here? This is creepy," she posted on Tuesday. As of Tuesday night, the YouTube video has been viewed over 87,000 times.
Over the summer, a video that featured a bride and groom dancing with their wedding party down the aisle went viral and earned them plenty of media attention. It's been seen over 32 million times since it was posted on YouTube on July 19.
