Watermelon festival kicks off saturday

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - The 15th Annual Watermelon Festival in Vincennes begins Saturday.
Melons coming out of the fields in Knox County go all over the country.
The community plans to shut down the streets for its annual festival that features all you can eat watermelon.
"The watermelon festival is very important to Knox County. It's been around for years and we thought it was important to the people of the community to come and celebrate one of the top agricultural factors of our county," Old National Bank employer Helen Seirp said.
