VINCENNES, Ind (WTHI) - The price of admission will go up a southern Indiana college.
The finance committee at Vincennes University recommended a tuition increase of 3.75 percent for the coming school year and 4 percent for the next year.
Monday, those increases were approved. The public was invited to comment on the rates at a public hearing, but no one spoke against the proposal.
The committee said the increase reflects rising costs and a cut of 4.6 percent by the legislature in the latest state budget.
