VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - A coalition of consumer and environmental groups is trying again to stop construction of a southern Indiana power plant.

Groups including the Sierra Club and Valley Watch have filed new comments with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission about the Duke Energy Power Plant now under construction at Edwardsport.

They claim once the $2 billion power plant is running it will be generating fine particles of soot that will seriously affect Hoosiers who suffer from asthma and other respiratory illnesses.
