VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Vermillion County Sheriff's deputies are still investigating an armed robbery after a man held up a couple in a restaurant parking lot.

It happened at the Beef House Restaurant near State Road 63 and Interstate 74, near Covington Friday night. Deputies said a man approached a couple walking in for dinner, putting a knife to the husband's face, then grabbing the wife's purse and ran off.

Vermillion County Sheriff Bob Spence said there will be extra patrols in the area to discourage a similar incident from happening again. Detectives are looking at nearby surveillance video for the suspect.

He is described as a black man with facial hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing dark clothing and a stocking cap.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call the Vermillion County Sheriff's Department at 765-492-3737.
