West Vigo Times approaches one year mark

WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The West Vigo Times newspaper is published every Wednesday.

Its publisher says the paper covers local stories in West Terre Haute that larger papers may overlook.

The paper prides itself on local coverage, everything from high school sports to local weather.

They say advertisers benefit too because they're able to target folks in West Terre Haute.

"Our goal from the beginning was to try to give the west terre haute area a community newspaper," said Gary Strohm, the paper's publisher. "We felt the area was a community."

The publisher estimates as many as 900 copies are sold every Wednesday.
