TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One organization served up a different way to fight the spread underage drinking.
Officials said Vigo County has one of the worst records in the state when it comes to underage and binge drinking. Several colleges in Terre Haute make the county more prone to having drinking issues.
To fight the problem, Mental Health America held a cookout
Saturday at Baeslar's Market in Terre Haute.
The goal was to alert the area of problem while providing
free food to folks who came out.
A Mental Health America survey found that one out of 13 parents in Terre Haute said they would serve alcohol to a minor.
