TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A man and his son are still recovering after being hit by a train.
Mark Priehs, 21, and his son, Braden Priehs, 3, were walking along train tracks north of Tuttle Avenue in North Terre Haute Tuesday afternoon.
They were crossing a trestle over Otter Creek when they were hit by a train, and knocked into the water below.
Brailey Cleeton, 12, and Stacey Pressley, 14, said while they were swimming below the train tracks in Otter Creek, they heard the train coming.
Then they saw Mark Priehs and his son walking across the tracks. The two ran over to help until rescue personnel arrived.
Mark Priehs was air-lifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He is listed in critical condition.
His three-year old son, Braden, is at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. He is listed in good condition.
