TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The FBI released a sketch of an alleged carjacker on Thursday.

Officials said around 11 a.m. Wednesday the suspect approached the victim with a gun and demanded that she drive him to Chicago. The carjacking started in Columbus, Ohio at a Wendy's restaurant and ended in Vigo County.

Police said the victim's car started to overheat after 4 p.m. on interstate 70 in Vigo County. The carjacker told the woman to get off the interstate.

They ended up on Old Fort Harrison Road in eastern Vigo County. The suspect then told the victim to lock the keys in the car and exit the vehicle.

The suspect ran away and the victim ran to a nearby home for help.

Multiple agencies searched the area for the carjacker. The case is now in the hands of the F-B-I.

"The FBI asked if we would process the car for them with our technician, which was done. The car was towed last evening... And cornered off with crime scene tape so no one would bother it," Vigo County Sheriff Jon Marvel said.

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 35 to 40, with a thin build and fair complexion. He is between five-feet-six-inches to five-feet-10-inches tall and was last seen clean shaven with dyed black hair and dark eyes.

He was last seen wearing light colored blue jeans, a white V-neck T-shirt and brown flip flops. At the time of the carjacking, he was carrying a small, dark revolver.
