Police look for suspect in hit and run

The Vigo County Sheriff's Department is still searching for a suspect in a fatal hit and run.
The accident took the life of 13-year-old Nathan Lawson, an Otter Creek Middle School student, Friday night in North Terre Haute.
A neighbor said he was at home Friday night when he heard kids screaming in the street and called 911.
Police said the boy was walking westbound on Park Ave. with his brother and a cousin toward the Jiffy Mart when a car hit two of them. Lawson was killed and his cousin was injured.
As students come back from fall break at Otter Creek Middle School, a trauma team will be available for staff and students.
Anyone will information that could help police solve this case are urged to call Crime Stopper at 812-238-STOP. Police currently do not have a lot of information.
