TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State University and paralympic swimmer Dave Denniston will present a "Mind Over Body" program Wednesday.
The program includes a motivational session, as well as a swim clinic.
Denniston uses a wheelchair and is a championship swimmer. He made the para-lympic swim team in 2008 and competed at the games in Bejing.
Denniston stressed the importance of looking on the bright side.
"Focus on the positive things in your life and don't get caught up in the negatives. Focus on what you can do, don't get wrapped up in what you can't do," Denniston said.
Denniston said he is training to compete in the world championships in the Netherlands next year.
