TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Layoffs, dealer shut-downs and bankruptcy haven't discouraged all General Motors customers.

James Patton has bought GM for years, and said he has faith in "The New GM" that's fresh out of bankruptcy.

"This latest Buick I got is the most solid automobile we've ever bought," said Patton.

Executives say the Company's made big changes to get out of bankruptcy protection.

GM is saying good-bye to Pontiac, Saturn, Hummer and Saab, planning to keep only its Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC lines.

The Company will make good on all warranties, even for cars they'll discontinue.

"All the warranty work will be honored here," Charles Divin, of Fuson GM in Terre Haute, said.

The company also cut back staff, from the corporate level to factory technicians and dealers.
