Terre Haute's fire department now has a new set of wheels.
Friday, the station received a brand new fire truck for a price set in the departments budget.
The new truck can carry oxygen tanks, radios and lots of important equipment. Chief Jeff Fisher said the new support truck will not only benefit the firefighters using that equipment, but also the community.
"Oh, it's a great feather in the cap. This truck here's been needed for years, and it's a beautiful piece of equipment," Fisher said.
Fisher said the new support truck is something he has been pushing for since he became fire chief.
