Local veterans honor Sgt. Dale Griffin

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A memorial pavilion is now under construction here in Terre Haute to honor Sergeant Dale Griffin.

AMVETS Post 222, with the help of local donors is constructing the structure at 2420 Fifth Ave.

It will be known as the Sergeant Dale Russel Griffin Memorial Pavilion.

It will be used during this year's Veteran's Day celebration to honor Sgt. Griffin and other local men and women who were killed while serving their country.

"We got together and we felt that this would be a good thing to dedicate this to a fallen comrade, Mr. Griffin," AMVETS Post 222 Adjutant Clifford Stephens said.
