TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A warning went out to parents from the Vigo County School Corporation.
The letter sent Tuesday warns about reported cases of H1N1 at Lost Creek Elementary School. The letter listed ways to prevent spreading the flu virus and reminded parents to keep their kids home if they are sick.
The school administrators assure that they are keeping the schools clean and sanitized as best as possible.
“We just don't want parents to be caught off guard. That's why we notify them when we hear of cases in the community or in the schools. We are going to continue doing that so that parents are aware that we are on top of the situation, " Vigo County School Corporation Director of Student Services Ray Azar said.
School administrators also remind faculty and staff to stay home if they are feeling ill.
