TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A local university opens the doors to a much anticipated building project.

Officials cut the ribbon to open the new Student Recreation Center at Indiana State University.

Hundreds of people came to the campus to watch the building dedication.

Students, faculty and staff have been waiting for the building's completion for the past four years.

Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett and State Representative Clyde Kersey were just a few of the officials from the community on hand to help dedicate the building.

ISU is thrilled to see such an anticipated project finally completed.
