Water problem at intersection

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A problem with a drainage pipe causes water to pond near interstate 70.

Water is creeping very close to the westbound on ramp, at the intersection of State Road 46 and Interstate 70 in eastern Vigo County.

The problem is a drainage pipe that's sticking up in the air, instead of being down in the ground. A spokesperson with the Indiana Department of Transportation tells us there is a problem with the pipe, but they are aware of it and are continuing to assess the situation.

We're told some water is draining, but it's going very slow. Repairs will be able to be made one the water goes down.
