Columbia House to close, 147 jobs lost

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Direct Brands, formerly known as Columbia House, decided to consolidate their DVD and Music Club services to a plant in Pennsylvania, resulting in layoffs.

The closing means 147 more jobs will be lost in Terre Haute.

The job loss will begin on May 29, with the plant being entirely shut down by the end of the year.

The Terre Haute plant is not the only one being closed. Facilities in Indianapolis and South Carolina will also shut down.
