TERRE HAUTE, Ind (WTHI) - Fireworks are certainly the main attraction this weekend. Retailers say they're still seeing mass crowds stocking up, regardless of the economy.
People at Dean's Fireworks in Terre Haute pile fireworks into their cart, all getting ready for their 4th of July celebrations.
The store said sales are the same as last year, people getting the most bang for the buck. Owner Kenny Dean said fireworks are an American tradition for Independence Day.
"People plan for the Fourth of July celebration and something that they look forward to and people, consumers enjoy fireworks and hoosiers enjoy fireworks," Dean said.
Dean's Fireworks has four locations in the Wabash Valley and is open year round.
