TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One of Terre Haute's most inspirational advocates for equality celebrated a birthday.
Eva Kor who founded CANDLES Holocaust Museum in Terre Haute
turned 75 Saturday.
The holocaust survivor has spent most of her adult life
educating people about the atrocities she experienced during her
childhood.
Kor was held prisoner at Auschwistz concentration camp in
Germany.
She says it's wonderful to have lived as long as she has and takes joy her job teaching people about tolerance and diversity.
Being 75 years old and lecturing and talking about healing and
forgiveness and running this museum [CANDLES], it's definitely very
exciting," Kor said.
