TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Imagine giving up your career after 28 years to follow your dream.

It may be hard to believe, but Susan Tingley of Terre Haute ended her career in the medical business to pursue her dream of baking cupcakes.

Tingley is getting ready to open her very own cupcake bakery called Caboodle Cupcakes.

"The career has been great, and it really set me up so that I can do this, this is more of a dream, this is really what I want to do," Tingley said.

During a time when most people are shutting their doors, Tingley is repainting hers.

Tingley said the bad economy isn't scaring her away.

"Cupcakes are a treat and people still want to treat themselves in a bad economy," Tingley said. "Your dreams can't wait. you got to go for it when you're ready and the time was right for me."

She's ready to take her old hobby and make a career out of it from scratch.

Tingley said she can't for that first customer to walk through the door.

"It's going to be that feeling, that my new life has started, that it's really here," Tingley said.

Tingley plans to open her doors in the next couple of weeks.

Caboodle Cupcakes is located on 7th St. in Terre Haute, just off of Davis Dr.
