TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Terre Haute is postponing fireworks and other Fourth of July celebrations because of rain.
Pyrotechnic artists have not been able to get the four hours of dry weather needed to set up the fireworks.
City officials said the program will go on as planned July 5. Music will start at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks will begin around 10 p.m.
Other Valley celebrations have been postponed as well.
-Fireworks in Sullivan County, and Linton have been postponed until Sunday.
-Fireworks in Clinton will begin at 5 p.m. at Sportland Park.
-Fireworks in Paris, Illinois will begin at 9 p.m.
-Fireworks in Marshall, Illinois have been postponed until tomorrow at 9 p.m. Illinois time.
