WVCF gets new superintendent

CARLISLE, Ind. (WTHI) - James Basinger, former Assistant Superintendent of Operations for Wabash Valley Correctional Facility was recently named the new superintendent for the maximum security prison.

He worked for the Indiana Department of Corrections for 18 years. He says his main goal as superintendent is to keep the public safe.

Basinger also served in the Indiana National Guard for over 24 years.
