SULLIVAN, Ind. - A new judge also comes with a new prosecutor in Sullivan County.
Former Sullivan County prosecutor, Bob Springer, has been elected judge.
This means he will be handing the prosecutor position to a new
face.
Friday night, a caucus was held by the democrats to decide
who that will be.
After the votes were in, Bob Hunley was named the new
Sullivan County Prosecutor.
"I was very fortunate they took a vote I got the first eleven
votes, which was the majority, and so one candidate withdrew at
that point, the other candidate withdrew prior to the vote, so
after after I got the majority I was declared the winner," Hunley
said.
Prior to being elected Prosecutor,
Hunley has been the chief deputy prosecutor since 1999.
