SULLIVAN, Ind (WTHI) - The Mayor of Sullivan resigns, now the search begins for his replacement.
Scott Biddle the mayor of Sullivan resigned from office on Tuesday.
Biddle said he was stepping down for personal reasons. Tuesday night he sent a letter of resignation to the Democratic chairperson of Sullivan County Lynn Hamilton.
Hamilton said the next step is for the democratic party to call a caucus.
They have 10 days to set a caucus date and the caucus must be completed within 30 days.
Biddle sayid he will work with the next mayor to make the transition as smooth as possible, so current projects can move forward.
