ODON, Ind. (WTHI) - A bean field in Odon is now one of seven sites Indiana has designated as shovel-ready for new business.
"Clear to develop. You don't have to worry about any environmental concerns or wetlands. It has identified where all the needed infrastructure will or where it's at," Ron Arnold of the Daviess County Economic Development Corporation said.
The people in Odon know that any new business will want to see roads and utilities in place and ready to go. They are now working with the Southern Indiana Development Commission to get a grant to pay for that work.
The location is in the middle of two big ongoing projects already bringing in jobs, including the Westgate at Crane Tech Park.
