OAKTOWN, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State Police arrested an Oaktown couple on Wednesday after discovering an active meth lab.
Police responded to a complaint of drug activity at a house on North Old U.S. 41. Police immediately smelled chemicals often associated with making meth. The odor was so strong police called the fire department and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team.
Authorities found the residence was empty. Shortly after, the homeowners, 41-year-old Christopher Bement and 38-year-old Tracy Kennedy, returned home and were arrested.
The couple is facing several drug-related charges including manufacturing meth, possession of meth and maintaining a common nuisance.
