MARSHALL, Ill. (WTHI) - The Marshall Illinois Police Department welcomed Kevin Paddock as the new chief of police.
Paddock comes from Charleston, Ill. where he served with the police department there for almost 28 years.
Paddock said he was looking for a small town to continue his service. He's only had two days on the job, but said people are doing their best to help him get into the swing of things.
"Congratulating me for being here. Community support seems good and the officers seem great too. So, so far it's been good," Paddock said.
Casey, Ill. also has a new police chief from Charleston, Ill., former police chief in Charleston Mark Jenkins.
