GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - After months of investigation, police have arrested a man in connection with a series of church burglaries.
The Greene County Sheriff's Department said 29-year-old Michael J. Baker and Charles Michael Orr III burglarized area churches back in October 2008.
Police arrested Orr in February and believed he had an accomplice. Their investigation resulted in Barker's arrest Tuesday.
Officials said the two broke into the First Christian Church in Linton and Blessed Hope Baptist Church near Jasonville, stealing three cameras and a handgun.
The two men also attempted to break into the Bethel Baptist Church, north of Linton.
Baker is charged with four felonies, including burglary and theft. His is currently in the Greene County Jail on $38,000 bond.
