Edgar Co. finds huge active meth lab

EDGAR COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) - Robert S. Maus, 48, is behind bars after being arrested by the Edgar County Drug Task Force.

Deputy Roger Hopper said agents reported a possible meth cook near Kansas in Edgar County. Authorities got a search warrant for the home. Hopper said they found one of the largest active meth labs they had seen in a few years.

Maus was charged with manufacturing meth, possession of anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture meth and possession of a meth manufacturing material.
