Police look for bank robbery suspect

EDGAR COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) - Police in Illinois are still looking for the suspect in a series of bank robberies.
Police said the suspect, who was seen on surveillance video, is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He also has a beard and glasses.
Police also said the suspect has a scar just below his left knee.
When police in Edgar County started an investigation after a bank robbery there, they found the robbery was not the first for this suspect.
"Once we started checking into it, we discovered that similar bank hold-ups were done in Crawford County, Illinois, Shelby County and Washington County," detective Roger Hopper said.
Hopper said the suspect may own a maroon 2000 Buick Century.
Anyone with information on the suspect should call the sheriff's department in Edgar, Crawford, Shelby or Washington Counties.
