CASEY, IL - A Casey, Illinois man was trying a new approach to sell his house back in February. He sold raffle tickets for $100 a piece.
The owner of the house, Eric Langellier, was not able to sell enough raffle tickets. Only 127 raffle tickets were sold.
That was just 10 percent of what he needed to sell his house for a $100 ticket.
Since not enough tickets were sold, a 50/50 raffle was held at the Regions Bank in Paris. Kelly Towles of Chrisman, Ill. was the winner of the raffle.
Twenty-five percent of the money was donated to a local church and charity.
