Woman attempts to pass drugs to inmate

CARLISLE, Ind. (WTHI) - An Indianapolis woman is behind bars after police said she tried to smuggle drugs into the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility is Carlisle.

Officials said 20-year-old Wendy Jones left two bags in a secured housing unit restroom. One bag contained 132 grams of marijuana. The other bag contained cocaine, tobacco and cell phone parts.

Jone faces charges of possession of cocaine, marijuana and attempting to traffic with an inmate.

She remains in the Sullivan County Jail.
