BICKNELL, Ind. (WTHI) - The initial Knox County Chainsaw Carving Festival is in full swing at the fairgrounds in Bicknell.

The event has brought in carvers from around the country and even one from England. Organizers are inviting the public to find out more about this art form that uses tools of destruction for creation.

"It's a chance for the public to come out and watch us create a very unique form of art and to hopefully find something they'd like to decorate their home with," festival organizer Desiree Neighbors said.

"It's indescribable really. It's just being able to create something really and sometimes I surprise myself," Dick Tilley, of England, said.

The festival wraps up Sunday afternoon with an auction of the art pieces starting at 2 p.m.
