Third neighborhood summit

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The third neighborhood summit was held Tuesday night for the Terre Town area neighborhood. That includes Terre Town, Plaza North and the Highland area.

Many people turned out at Terre Town Elementary school to hear what the mayor can do for their neighborhood.

Mayor Duke Bennett had quite a few topics he planned speaking about at the meeting.

"One is tell the people kind-of what's going on with city government, our finances, some of the projects coming up. Then find out what the concerns are they have in their particular area. So we'll be talking about I'm sure things from crime to sidewalks to everything else," Bennett said.

The next summit takes place Wednesday night for the 12 Points area. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at Harmony Hall on Lafayette Avenue.
