STORM TEAM - Pamela Gardner joined Storm Team 10 in June 2009 as the weekend weather forecaster and weekday reporter. She was nominated for an Emmy in 2009 for her work at Ball State.
She has always loved the ever-changing weather and news world so she decided to study both in college. In 2009, she completed a B.A. in telecommunications and minor in meteorology from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. She is currently working towards becoming a certified broadcast meterologist.
At Ball State, she was the forecaster for the Emmy award-winning student newscast, NewsWatch for four years. She was a forecaster and backpack journalist for NewsLink Indiana, and a host on the Emmy award-winning Connections Live, which both aired on WIPB in East Central Indiana.
Being apart of WTHI is exciting since she grew up in Indianapolis and was a weather intern at WISH in Indianapolis in the summer of 2008.
Pamela stays active in the American Meteorological Society, the community and her church.
In her free time, she loves visiting with family, friends and playing fetch with her dog, Champ. She enjoys storm chasing, playing sports, cheering on the Pacers and Colts and attending the Indianapolis 500 every year she can.
