NEWS TEAM - Kate Greene joined the News 10 Team as a general assignment reporter in January of 2009.
Originally from Rensselaer, Indiana, Kate is excited to report on stories that affect people here in the Hoosier state. She graduated from Butler University in 2008 with a B.A. in Media Arts.
During her time at Butler, Kate was anchor and co-producer for BTV News. She also helped start an entertainment segment for Butler students through Facebook called the Dish. This light-hearted, weekly segment featured happenings around campus and Indianapolis affecting Butler students and faculty.
Kate took her passion for journalism overseas. In 2007, she spent her summer in Dusseldorf, Germany. While traveling throughout the country, Kate and other students shot and produced a documentary showcasing the cultural differences between the United States and Germany. She continued her interest in broadcasting during an internship with WISH-TV, News 8 in Indianapolis.
Kate is excited to join the News Team 10 and looks forward to giving back to the community. Terre Haute means a lot to Kate and her family. Her grandfather, Raymond Hahn was a long time business owner of Hahn's shoe store and was involved in politics, running for mayor in 1959.
When Kate's away from work she loves playing golf and tennis, working on her artwork, spending time with her cat Derby, and catching up with family and friends.
