Abby Walton

NEWS TEAM -   Abby Walton joined the News 10 team as a reporter in Aug. 2006. In December of that year, she was promoted to anchor of "News 10 This Morning."

Abby is from Cicero, Ind. She graduated in May 2006 from Ball State University with a B.A. in Telecommunications-News and a minor in Spanish.

During her time at Ball State, Abby was a reporter/anchor at NewsLink Indiana. This daily newscast airs on WIPB, Muncie's PBS affiliate. It can be seen by eight counties in the East Central Indiana area. Abby also anchored on NewsLink@ 9, a live student-run newscast and Connections Live where she did live remotes. During the summer of 2005, Abby did her internship at WTHR, Channel 13 in Indianapolis.

After News Ten This Morning, Abby reports on stories about city-related issues. She also started a segment on the morning show called "Eye on Terre Haute." The first Friday of every month she sits down with the mayor of Terre Haute to discuss current city issues.

Abby loves being a part of the News 10 Team. As an anchor and reporter, she wants to cover stories that you, the viewers, want to know about. If you have a story idea or segment idea for "Eye on Terre Haute," don't be afraid to stop her in the street or email her. She'd love to hear your ideas.

When she's not working, Abby loves to hang out with her family, friends and black lab, Molly. She also loves to read nonfiction books, exercise and is an avid fan of movies and TV.

Abby is also involved in several community activities. She's participated as a team leader in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, is a member of Young Leaders of Terre Haute which is affiliated with the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and loves getting involved with the station's "Make a Difference Campaign."
