Cash in tax return, receive more money

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - When you get your tax return check in the mail, do you know how you'll spend it?

One store said if you spend it with them, you'll actually receive money from them.

Menard's said if you cash in your tax return check for store credit, you'll get 5% of that amount from the store.

Menard's said it's a great opportunity for remodeling and construction projects. Even projects for next year, because Menard's said there's no expiration date on when you have to use it.

"For the people that have found out about it, it's been a really positive thing for them and they've really appreciate getting that extra 5 percent," General Manager Bill Tegeler said.

Now, if you've already deposited your tax return check into the bank, you can still participate. Mernard's said just bring in the deposit statement from the bank.
