TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Women on the campus of Indiana State University are taking a stand against sexual assault.
They held their second annual No Woman Left Behind rally Thursday night.
This event is organized by students in an effort to bring sexual assault prevention awareness to the campus.
One of the main points they expressed is the importance of girls to not only protect themselves, but to help protect other females on campus.
"They need to watch out for themselves, watch out for their friends," said Outreach Educator Aimee Janssen-Robinson. "We've been really pushing a bystander intervention where friends step in to help each other out."
Artist David Ilan was also at the event.
He created a portrait using pointalism, which means the entire picture was created from dots.
Each dot on the portrait represents a survivor of sexual abuse.
