BRAZIL, Ind. (WTHI) - A group of local volunteers sews for babies across the globe.
Folks at First Christian Church in Brazil sew diapers, hats and dresses for thousands in Haiti and soon Africa, as part of Gifts for the Nations program.
A tradition for 13 years now, volunteers recycle old t-shirts, committed to never wasting any material.
The group gets together throughout the year.
"We're satisfying ourselves with the opportunity to sew and create but also we're satisfying many of the missions and the babies and the little children throughout the world who receive the products of our labor," Gifts for the Nations
Last year, the group sewed a record 1,520 diapers.
