VIGO COUNTY, Ind (WTHI) - UPDATE:
VigoCounty Coroner Dr. Roland Kohr said the body of the dead female was in a badly decomposed state, meaning that it had been there for a few weeks.
The preliminary autopsy results revealed the woman died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Vigo Count Sheriff’s Deputies are continuing their investigation into the case.

On Saturday evening, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Vigo County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a dead body discovered off a gravel roadway approximately one mile north of S.R. 42 along the Vigo/Clay County line.
The body was initially observed by a local fisherman driving home for the evening.
The body is a Caucasian female between 20-40 years of age, with brown shoulder length 'corn-row' styled hair. She was also wearing black colored pants and dark colored shoes.
The cause of death is undetermined and an autopsy is scheduled to take place on Monday.
Chief Deputy Clark Cottom stated that detectives are continuing the search of Indiana and Illinois missing person reports.
Police are asking for the public's help with any information concerning the discovery of the deceased female, or any information concerning missing females in Indiana and Illinois.
