TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Scanner traffic revealed a vehicle fire on the south side of Terre Haute.
A power washer in the truck bed of a pickup had exploded and caught fire in the parking lot of an Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance office building on South 7th Street.
The Terre Haute Fire Department, with the assistance from Honey Creek Fire Department, arrived quickly to the scene to put out the fire and assist with the victim.
The operator, who was refilling the power washer when it exploded, and whose identity has not been released at this time, was taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained from the explosion and fire.
It is unknown as to why the power washer exploded, at this time.
A photo submitted by Brent Furrer revealed that the pickup is property of Thompson Thrift.
